● The history of the project creation

From 500m2 to an ultramodern one-storey house of 176.2 m2 near Vladimir.

This story was remembered by my customers — a married couple who decided to get rid of their old-fashioned "ancestral nest" from the 1990s and move to a new house.

Realizing this, we decided to apply our latest developments in the project. This is also a broken shape in the plan, which repeats the geometry of the site. And a large number of storerooms. And a spacious living room in the center with a ceiling height of 3.5 m.Add here a large sauna with access to the plot, a storage room for bicycles, a huge terrace and get an ultramodern house for a serene country life. We made facades for a long time, realizing the complexity of the task that we set ourselves.

The broken layout complicated the shape of the house. It was decided to visually simplify it with smooth curves on the main facade, as well as raise the central arch to highlight the significant ceiling height in the living room.

The land plot has a height difference. To hide the height of the basement, we proposed a stepped terrace with a flowerbed. The flowerbed is organically placed in front of the central arch. Together they have become a stylish decoration of the dining area on the terrace. The facade contains the visual idea of a rectangular portal and a wave permeating it. The tension of the two elements creates a highly aesthetic contrast of forms.

The facades were accepted by the customer from the first time. It turned out to be a very light, organic house that goes beyond the usual and expands the architectural horizons in residential housing. After the obsolete mansion of the 1990s, such a house does not just change life, but improves it in every sense.

● Architectural and planning solution

Access to the site is provided from the south-eastern side, where there is a canopy for 2 vehicles and an entrance to the main house.

The house is elongated from south-west to north-east, curved, one-story, flat-roofed, with a lot of glazing facing west. At the entrance to the house there is an entrance hall with a wardrobe and access to the heat generator room. From the hallway we get into a large open space of the kitchen-living room, from which there is access to the pantry at the kitchen and laundry room, from the kitchen-living room through the distribution hall on the south side of the house we can get to the master bedroom with its own bathroom and wardrobe, to the children's bedroom and bathroom.

Through the distribution hall on the north side of the kitchen-living room, we can access the study/guest room and the spa area with shower and sauna. From the kitchen-living room through sliding glazing there is access to a terrace with a translucent canopy, which offers a good view of the western side of the plot and the forest. Access to the terrace is also available from the spa area and the master bedroom. There is a lounge area on the south side of the terrace, a dining area in the central part, and a spa area in the north. From the terrace, a garden path leads to the guest house, swimming pool, gazebo, cellar, greenhouse and garden. Also from the street we can get into the utility room for storing car accessories on the south side and the utility room for garden equipment on the north side of the house.
