The BARN PENAL project was created for a narrow section. This dictated its elongated shape and structure on 2 floors. The main façade has a classic barn house silhouette with 40° roof slopes.

The house has a reduced energy consumption and involves heating with electricity, later on with gas. Two-layer walls made of aerated concrete have a design resistance to heat transfer sk. 6.0 m2-°C/W. Also

in the project, all windows are oriented to reduce heat loss. The smallest number of windows is directed to the northern part, all bedroom windows are oriented to the east. The windows of the living room and one of the bedrooms are exposed to the south side with measures to reduce overheating in summer.

Between the living room and the kitchen / dining room there is a duct stove for heating this part of the house. Also, the stove zones a large space and allows you to isolate the living room to make it a guest room.

A private residential building is designed for a compact area with a flat terrain.

The first floor consists of two zones: an entrance hall with a bathroom, a boiler room and a cloakroom; a large living/dining/kitchen room with a ducted stove and an L-shaped staircase to the 2nd floor. Next to the stairs there is an exit to the terrace.

Parking under a canopy for 2 cars includes two cold storerooms.

The second floor is fully residential and consists of 3 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is multifunctional and can play the role of an office or a children's room. The master bedroom faces the north side of the house through two small ‘windows’. This serves to control the local area.To avoid heat loss through these windows, the main one is a large east window. All communications are concentrated in one place along the "B" axis. This allows you to reduce costs during the construction and operation of the building. The facades of the house are made in 4 different materials and are subject to the concept of urban design. These are white plaster, dark gray click-seam, wooden planken in a warm shade and finishing tiles made of aerated concrete, painted to look like clinker tiles. In general, the laconic form of the house and the style of the facades emphasize the proximity to the city and modern trends in private residential architecture. The house is designed for permanent residence of 1 family.
